The title \u2018re:place\u2019 refers to the sites and the migration of artistic and knowledge production. This theme is highlighted during the panel discussions and poster sessions, particularly in the \u2018Place Studies\u2019 stream which looks at specific historical instances and settings. Special attention will be given to alternatives to the \u2018Western\u2019 historical paradigms through presentations about art-science relations in the former Soviet Union, Africa, and Latin America. The conference includes general forum discussions\u00a0 on interdisciplinary research strategies, as well as keynote lectures by Lorraine Daston and Siegfried Zielinski.<\/p>\n<p>replace 2007 is a project of Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH in cooperation with Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin.
